We have been trying to find information on Cyperus umbellatus but believe the issue with this name is that it is unresolved. See The Plant List, a database supported by Kew, NYBG, and other organizations.

Where did you find this species name originally?

Either "unresolved" plant names have not been officially accepted or there is confusion about the name or even conflicting names. That is why when you do a Google search all you get is pages of taxonomic information and nothing about the plant itself.

We can’t provide any information because the name is not accepted, so there are no plant descriptions using that name.

If you would like general information on the genus Cyperus, please let us know.
