Phalaenopsis are amongst the most popular orchids and bloom for a prolonged period under proper conditions.

They prefer bright but indirect sunlight, temperatures of at least 60° F at night and between 70 and 85° during the day and thorough watering, after which they are left until almost dry (2 to 10 days depending on the season). A complete, balanced fertilizer should be applied regularly during active growth and damaging chemical fumes from cigarettes, gas stoves and car exhaust must be avoided.

Under those conditions, each individual orchid bloom will last from 80 to 120 days and the length of bloom for the plant will depend on the number of buds on your plant.
