How do I fertilize lucky bamboo?
Despite its name, lucky bamboo (Dracaena braunii or Draceana sanderiana) is actually a member of the asparagus family. It is a tropical plant grown indoors in the United States.
Lucky bamboo does not require much fertilizer. A light fertilization with dilute (1:10), water-soluble fertilizer will suffice. For water-grown plants, fertilize one every 2 months or longer and for soil-grown plants, fertilize once a month.
Note that Lucky Bamboo is susceptible to salt damage so it is best to use bottled, distilled or rain water when growing this plant.
