Answer

Thank you for your question. We are the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Brooklyn has a Botanical Garden as well with Cherry trees too, so two great botanical gardens in NYC. I believe their trees will be blooming about the same, or approximately the same, time as our cherry trees.

Peak bloom cycle is a bit different each year depending on the weather. Usually April is peak, but April to May is bloom time for the ornamental Cherry trees at NYBG. One thing B.B.G. has that we do not have is a Japanese garden and that may be beautiful during cherry blossom season. The main difference between BBG and us is the size. The B.B.G. is I believe 90 acres of scenic wonder, and here at NYBG is 250 acres. We not only have beautiful gardens, there is so much more, actually today we heard we are the most diverse garden of its kind, offering so much more in one place. See what we are all about here: http://www.nybg.org/about/
