Are the moon flower and ipomoea pandurata the same flower?

Answer

Many species of plants are called "moonflowers" however Ipomoea pandurata is not one of them. Although similar in appearance to moonflowers (Ipomoea alba it is a different species. Common names for this plant include man of the earth, wild potato vine, manroot, wild sweet potato, and wild rhubarb. More below:
