Dendrobium aphrodite benefits from a dormant period during the winter. During this time move it to a cooler location and water and fertilize less frequently. When the dormancy is over in late winter you should see new buds forming. Begin to water more frequently and fertilize the plant with orchid fertilizer once a week. If no new stems appear try fertilizing with a high phosphorous (10-30-20) fertilizer.
