Q. Can you suggest a quick-growing climber to cover a fence in a shady location ?

Answer

Suitable possibilities are: English ivy (Hedera helix), variegated kiwi (Actinidia kolomikta), five-leaf kebia (Akebia quinata), Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) or Japanese climbing hydrangea (Schizophragma hydrangeoides).

Note that Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) is a very fast-growing climber, but it is is also highly-invasive.  You should avoid using this in your garden.
