My tiger lilies grow too tall and fall over when they flower. What can I do about it?

Answer

Tiger lilies need rich, well-drained soil and plenty of sun to grow into strong plants. Plants that are falling over a probably not getting quite enough sun. If you can, move them to a sunnier location where they will get six hour or more of direct sun daily. This can be done in spring or fall, or even in summer when they are flowering as long as you water them well after transplanting. Otherwise, you may need to stake your plants, but be careful not to pierce the bulbs when you drive the stake into the ground.
