I am taking an online class that requires me to visit a chaparral plant community. I wanted to know if the New York Botanical Garden has any plants, trees or shrubs that would be seen within a chaparral plant community. If yes, I would love to know the area in the NYBG that I can find the plants to help me with my assignment.

Answer

The chaparral biome is found in a little bit of most of the continents - the west coast of the United States, the west coast of South America, the Cape Town area of South Africa, the western tip of Australia and the coastal areas of the Mediterranean. Not in the NYBG. See the helpful links below.
