Does sunlight affect leaf growth?

Answer

Sunlight does affect leaf growth, as it is the source of energy that fuels all processes in a plant. Light energy enters a leaf and is converted to usable energy in the chloroplasts through photosynthesis. Photosynthesis requires that chloroplasts in the plant’s leaf are supplied with H2O and  CO2, in addition to light.
