What temperature is best for growing orchids?

Answer

The ideal temperature for the health of your orchid depends upon the type and the environmental conditions of its native habitat. Most orchids need a distinct difference between day and night temperatures to successfully produce flowers. Many orchids will grow well at intermediate temperatures of 65-75 degrees during the day and 55-65 degrees at night.

You can find information on the correct temperature range for the most popular orchids to grow in the home in our Guides to Caring for Orchids.
