Are there any Franklinia trees growing at NYBG?

Answer

Yes, we have two Franklinia alatamaha trees located on the grounds here at The New York Botanical Garden. They are in the Native Plant Garden, located in the lower woodland section.

Here in the northeast U.S., Franklinia starts blooming in late summer and can continue flowering until the first frost.
