In the Jane Irwin Perennial Garden, what are the purple and pink spiky plants currently growing within the boxwood borders?

They are in the first area fathest from haupt conservatory entrance and near the ladies' walk. The flowers are more like purple and pink leaves, but I may be mistaken.

Answer

Inside the perennial garden is the herb garden with its beautiful boxwood border, and within it grow the pretty blue purple, pink, spiky plants known as sage. Well, specifically Salvia viridis var. comata ‘Marble Arch Blue’ and ‘Marble Arch Rose’, available as a seed from Renee's Garden Seeds or Johnny's Selected Seeds. So you can grow them from scatch next year for your garden. Hope this helps.
