I am planning a visit to NYBG. What can I expect to see in flower this month?

Answer

From late winter to the end of Autumn, the New York Botanical Garden is bursting with flowers. This chart provides a handy flowering schedule of the major plant groups here at NYBG. This information is based on phenological data collected over many years and represents the typical flowering period for a given collection.

There is another useful tool that you can refer to on the Explore the Gardens' Collections page of the website. We have trackers that indicate the percentage of Peak Color that has been reached by some of the major garden collections currently in flower, so you can time your visit with the greatest accuracy, as well as a list of the most beautiful parts of the garden to visit now. And you can find the location of favorite plants using our Garden Navigator tool.
