@nybgplantinfo What vegetables can I direct sow in April? I'm in NYC.

Answer

This question comes from Twitter's @EstherWords.

There are many "cool weather crops" that can be direct-sown starting in April. These include peas, mache, arugula, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, kohlrabi, lettuce, collard greens, fava beans, kale, mustard greens, onions, radish, Swiss chard, and more! Check out our Vegetable Garden Care guide here: http://libguides.nybg.org/vegetablegarden and our guide to direct-sowing vegetables here: http://libguides.nybg.org/directsowingveg.
