When are water lilies and lotus in bloom at the New York Botanical Garden?

Answer

Water lilies (Nymphaea) and lotus (Nelumbo) can be found blooming in the aquatic garden (in the NYBG conservatory courtyard) through most of the summer (from late June onward). They are at their peak in late July through August.

For more information on these extraordinary plants, some of which are hardy in the New York metropolitan area, check out our guide "The Incomparible Water Lily and Lotus".
