Q. Who is the expert on orchids?

We do have orchid experts here at NYBG, the main one is the curator of the Nolen Greenhouses, Marc Hachadurian.But, Marc usually has his hands full running the state of the art greenhouse almost everyday. So we are available to help as plant information specialists, and also give orchid information year round, by phone, email, mail, onsite, or fax. During the yearly orchid show, we are available on site as orchid experts, you will notice our bright button that we have pinned on our shirts while in our NYBG shop, called "Shop In The Garden". It's by the conservatory entrance. During this time, we call "orchid mania", vistors are excited to see the beautiful new exhibit.and so happy to beat the winter blues. Orchid help is available on the weekends from 1:30-4:30pm Saturdays and Sundays, March through part of April during the Orchid show.
