How long will my Phalaenopsis bloom?

Phalaenopsis (moth orchids) are amongst the most popular orchids and bloom for a prolonged period under proper conditions. Under those conditions, each individual orchid bloom will last from 80 to 120 days and the length of bloom for the plant will depend on the number of buds on your plant.
They prefer bright or medium light but indirect sunlight, temperatures of at least 60° F at night and between 70 and 85° during the day. Thorough watering is given, after which they are left until almost dry (2 to 10 days depending on the season) then watered again.
Give a complete, balanced fertilizer diluted in a gallon of water can be given weekly when watering is needed indication when the potting mixture goes to almost dry. Dilute a powdered 20-20-20 orchid fertilizer into a gallon of water, and water generously over the mixture and leaves in a sink as needed. Once a month forgo the fertilize water and use clear water to leach out any fertilizer salts. Continue this regimen throughout the year.
Repot every three years as needed with a bark based orchid potting mixture.
