Q. How do I care for my new Yucca plant?

Thank you for your question about Yucca. Not sure, but watering your Yucca this time of year is greatly reduced. During active growth period (spring, summer, and fall), water plentifully as often as necessary to keep the potting mixture thoroughly moist, but never allow containers to stand in water. During the winter rest period water sparingly, giving only enough to keep the mixture from drying out completely. These Yuccas need bright light, with at least three hours a day of direct sunlight (southern exposure) throughout the year. Yuccas are best kept cool during short-day winter months (not below 50 degrees). They tolerate extremely dry air.
