My flowers aren't blooming. What's wrong?

I have all annuals in a sunny spot and they are growing but the flowers aren't blossoming. Even the purple coneflowers aren't doing well

Answer

Thank you for your question. Your annual flowers need at least 6 hours of direct sun a day to bloom well. Also, hopefully the soil was amended well before the flowers were planted. Composting the soil will condition it so the plants can take up the nutrients they need to thrive. Organic fertilizer may be needed also for ongoing flowering through the season.

Hope this is helpful
