Soil testing service--recommendations?

I have a terrace in manhattan and would like to get my soil tested for PH and other imbalances. Is there a service you would recommend?

The best source for reliable soil testing for you is the Cornell Cooperative Extension Service of Westchester. Follow this link for their web page with instructions about how to collect and send a soil sample. You can indicate the type of testing you would like the soil to undergo. For soil testing services outside of the New York City area, contact your county's cooperative extension office for information on testing soil through the extension service in your state.
