How is aloe progated?

Answer

Propagation should occur in the early summer. Look for an offset or "pup" growing from your aloe near the base of the plant and that has leaves that are opened into the customary rosette shape. Cut the offset free from the plant and then allow the cut to heal until it is dry. These typically do not have a root system but will root easily once placed in soil with good draining properties with some sand sprinkled on top.

Give the offset bright, indirect light and water sparingly until established.
