Can I feed my Nepenthes fish food as an alternative to insects? Is there any particular thing I should look for when purchasing fish food?

Answer

Yes! Your fully mature Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plant) and many other carnivorous plants can be fed dried blood worm which can be found with fish food supplies. Check the label on the container to make sure that there are no other additives.

Crush some of the worms to make a powder before feeding your Nepenthes. Try just a little bit as a test first as they work better with some plants and under some growing conditions than others.
