Where can I find information on large and significant trees in our area?

Answer

I have a few resources to recommend to you related to your interest in large trees that I think you will enjoy. The first is the Register of Great Trees from the New York City Parks Department. It includes trees of cultural significance as well as ones of "profound form or structure".

New York State also has a Big Tree Register with some fascinating measurements.

New York City has a Tree Map that contains information on many of our street trees in all boroughs.
